“He appointed twelve so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach” (Mark 3:14 ESV).

God is a sender.

The Book of Acts tells the story of people scattered due to persecution or sent to plant local churches. When we send workers to preach and plant churches, we do what Jesus, Peter, Paul, Timothy, Titus, and multitudes of disciples did in the Bible. “One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work I have for them. So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way” (Acts 13:2-3 NLT).

Praise Chapel is the fruit of sending.

Without sending workers to plant new churches, there would be no PC Global Network. We are not a network of churches that simply have come together around a shared vision or a mega-ministry. Pastors and churches in this network were planted directly or indirectly by churches in this network.

Our heritage, vision, and destiny are in church planting. We have in our DNA the qualities that can unleash church multiplication.

To plant churches, workers have to be sent.

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? (Romans 10:13-15). The truth is that sending workers to plant new churches is the greatest way to grow “The Kingdom of God.”

Who do we send?

“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called” (1 Corinthians 1:26 NKJV).

Our heritage is radical release.

We send imperfect people to pioneer churches. I don’t know how often I have heard people say, “They are not ready; they have too many problems.” Some want to push the qualifications so high that most will never qualify to be sent to plant a church.

How together were the disciples when Jesus turned the work of the Kingdom to them? They couldn’t even pray with him for an hour. Even after he commanded them to go into “all the world,” they did not leave Jerusalem until the persecution by Saul.
